BC Business Magazine has come up with a new ranking for best cities to work in for 2017. The ranking was assigned based on the following seven factors:
- average household income
- average household income under 35
- average household spending on recreation
- average shelter costs
- five-year population growth
- five-year average household income growth
- unemployment rate
This ranking is a great benchmark for assigning your investment distributions as cities that are thriving attracts new residents. Strong income growth has landed Squamish in the first place, while cities in the near vicinity of Vancouver has also risen mainly due to housing affordability. Vancouver, however, has dropped from the 17th place to the 26th place. So watch out for the up and comers before you miss your oppurtunities.
